My name is Nikki and I am a licensed PreK-6 teacher with a passion for teaching the youngest learners the fundamental literacy and math skills they need to have a sucessful educational career! I have lived in Northern Virginia my whole life, outside of going to college at Christopher Newport University. While there I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and continued on to get my Master of Arts in Teaching. I returned to the area after college and have been teaching in the public school system for almost 10 years as a first grade, fourth grade, and PreK teacher.
My favorite part of teaching is connecting with and forming relationships with students, while meeting their needs through fun and playful activities. Tutoring creates an opportunity for me to apply my teaching skills in a one-on-one or small group environment, helping me target children's needs with greater accuracy.
